Job Description : Area Manager – in (Bengaluru)
Role Summary
The Area Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, and overseeing the performance of several Uni‑Seoul stores / units within a specified area in Bengaluru. The role focuses on ensuring sales growth, delivering excellent customer experience, optimizing operations, managing teams, achieving brand standards, and ensuring overall profitability for the area.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Growth
- Meet or exceed sales targets for the area.
- Plan and execute strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Implement local promotions and partnership initiatives.
Team Management & Leadership
Recruit, train, and develop store managers and staff.Ensure teams are motivated and aligned with brand goals.Conduct regular performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring.Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage.Operational Excellence
Ensure smooth operations across all units in the area — opening / closing, cash handling, security, cleanliness, safety.Standardize and oversee adherence to SOPs.Monitor inventory levels, order replenishments, manage shrinkage and wastage.Maintain store presentation, visual merchandising, brand look & feel.Customer Experience
Ensure high customer satisfaction — monitor feedback and resolve escalations quickly.Uphold service standards and brand promise at all touchpoints.Monitor and drive metrics like NPS and customer retention.Financial & P&L Management
Control costs and manage budgets for the area.Ensure profitability — gross margin, operational expenses, overheads.Review financial reports, identify variances, and take corrective actions.Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track KPIs for area, stores, and staff.Prepare and present reports to regional management.Use data to identify underperforming stores and drive improvement plans.Compliance & Standards
Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and safety norms.Maintain audit readiness and loss prevention measures.Ensure stores meet brand standards in appearance and hygiene.Market Insights & Competitive Analysis
Monitor local competition, market trends, and customer preferences.Provide input on product mix, promotions, and pricing relevant to Bengaluru.Suggest location expansions or changes if applicable.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Commerce, or related field. MBA preferred.4–7+ years in multi-unit retail or operations management.Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Familiarity with retail operations, inventory, visual merchandising, and cost control.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
