Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Italian Sous Chef at Queen Margherita's Pizzeria in Mumbai. The Sous Chef will lead the multiple kitchen teams in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring high-quality standards for Italian-inspired dishes. Responsibilities include leading kitchen staff during shifts, managing inventory, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to safety and hygiene regulations. The Sous Chef will also contribute to menu development and collaborate with the team to innovate and refine culinary offerings.
Qualifications
Expertise in Italian cuisine, including pizza preparation, pasta making, and traditional recipes
Skills in kitchen management, inventory control, and staff supervision
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and maintaining a tidy kitchen environment
Creativity in menu development and passion for culinary innovation
Leadership and teamwork abilities with excellent communication skills
Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards under pressure
