Job Purpose
Associate Regional Counsel West
To support the regional RC in due diligence, execution and registration of leases, manage regional legal database (digitisation of leases, uploading on the portal, etc.). With the aim to establish a system for multiple level scrutiny, ARC is bestowed upon with the following tasks, including but not limited to : -
- To mentor JRC and review the works of JRCs;
- To hold discussions with external counsels pertaining to risks involved in a property;
- To vet all the documentation proposed to be filed before the concerned authority and courts;
- To hold discussions and form strategies with external counsels pertaining to ongoing and new litigation;
- To conduct risk rating of a property post review of due diligence report;
To prepare risk / deviation note; and
To prepare dashboard and trackers.
Job Context & Major Challenges
The role extends to entire region West for ABFRL business including all the subsidiary businesses of ABFRL.
Following are the operational challenges.
Highlight the risk arising out of title due diligence and post discussions with RC prepare risk note along with mitigation plan.Ensure registration of all the Leases in the region.Closing issues arise across region in respect of value violations and landlord complaints.Providing time bound legal support in filing police complaints, closure of cases, etc.,Updating and managing regional litigations on daily basis.Working with cross functions to provide effective services to ICs & LLTo update the litigations and leasing data / files.Key Result Areas
