Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead)

Job description5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go) and / or full-stack skills. Deep experience with databases (Postgres, MongoDB, etc.) , API design, and distributed systems. Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms . Prior exposure to Gen AI, AI / ML, document processing, or SaaS products is a big plus. Proven ability to work in fast-paced, startup-like environments . Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills. Resume and application screening Intro call (15 mins) – mutual discussion about role and expectations. Technical assignment (2 hours max) – a practical task relevant to our product. For senior candidates, we’re flexible : instead of coding, this can be an architecture or system design exercise . Technical deep dive – review your code / design, plus system design discussion. Culture / fit conversation with founders – aligning on growth, ownership, and vision. Be a founding team engineer at a startup tackling a $10B+ contract intelligence market . Direct ownership of architecture and freedom to influence technical stack and best practices . 🚀 What You’ll Do
- Lead design and architecture of scalable SaaS solutions for contract intelligence using various Gen AI LLMs.
- Own end-to-end development of features : from requirements and design to deployment and monitoring.
- Mentor junior engineers and set best practices in coding, testing, and CI / CD.
- Work closely with founders and product team on technical strategy and roadmap .
- Contribute hands-on in building APIs, services, integrations, and data workflows.
- Drive decisions around cloud architecture (AWS), security, and performance optimization .
