General Manager Procurement [10 / 10 / 2025]

Job Purpose

Lead the procurement of equipment and bulk materials for large-scale shipbuilding and heavy engineering projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing to support production, quality, and project delivery.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for equipment and bulk materials (e.g., steel, pipes, valves), aligning with project and production schedules.
• Lead negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship development to secure the best pricing, quality, and continuity of supply.
• Ensure full compliance with maritime / engineering standards and quality management systems (ABS, DNV, ISO).
• Oversee inventory, stock levels, documentation, and audit requirements to minimize delays and support uninterrupted operations.
• Champion cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process improvement initiatives across procurement activities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, project teams) and external vendors / regulatory bodies.
