Role Purpose
The
Trade Finance Analyst
will act as the analytical and financial bridge between
exports, finance, and operations , ensuring commercial efficiency, documentation accuracy, and profitability across international trade flows.
The role involves driving
margin visibility, forex optimization, working capital efficiency , and
process automation
to strengthen Vegrow’s export operations and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs & Weightage)
KRA Description Weightage
Trade Finance Operations
Coordinate with banks and finance teams on LC (Letter of Credit), BG, and export documentation. Monitor payments, collections, and forex exposure. Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, and export documentation norms. (25%)
Financial & Margin Analysis
Perform detailed margin and profitability analysis across geographies. Simulate pricing models (FOB, CIF, DDP) and assess forex impact. Recommend measures to improve realized margins.

Working Capital Management
Track receivables, payables, credit limits, and export incentives (MEIS / RODTEP). Support cash flow forecasting and credit utilization planning.

Data Analytics & Reporting
Build dashboards (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to track shipments, finance KPIs, and TAT. Ensure accuracy of export MIS and financial trackers.

Process Optimization & Governance
Identify inefficiencies in trade documentation, banking, and finance coordination processes. Propose automation or SOP improvements to enhance TAT and reduce manual errors.

Cross-functional Coordination
Liaise with export, logistics, finance, and banking partners for transaction closure, audit readiness, and compliance adherence.

Strategic Projects
Support finance leadership in trade-related analytics, hedging analysis, and BPR (Business Process Re-engineering).

Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of
trade finance instruments
– LC, BG, remittances, forex, and export documentation.
Advanced Excel , Power Query, and Power BI / Tableau for financial dashboards.
Quantitative & logical reasoning
for financial modeling and analytics.
Familiarity with
export documentation platforms
(ICEGATE, DGFT, Tridge, etc.) is a plus.
Strong analytical storytelling – ability to translate numbers into business insights.
Excellent stakeholder collaboration across finance, logistics, and operations.
Detail-oriented with high numerical accuracy and process discipline.
Educational Background & Experience
Degree in
Commerce, Finance, Economics, or Business Management
(Finance / Operations).
Preference for candidates from
IIFT, FMS, SRCC, IIMs, IITs, or top universities
– not restricted to Tier 1.
Experience : 2–6 years in
trade finance, export operations, or business analytics .
Certifications (Preferred) :
Advanced Excel, Power BI / Tableau, SQL, or Trade Finance Certification (e.g., CDCS, CTFP).
