About Process :
The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Markets , one of the biggest asset managers in the world, that provides services to the world's governments, institutions and financial advisors. The team has the responsibility to report the FX and SF transactions emanating from its various European trading venues. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is an independent European Union (EU) Authority that contributes to safeguarding the stability of the EU's financial system by enhancing the protection of investors and promoting stable and orderly financial markets . The SSGM regulatory reporting team covers 3 major ESMA regulations- MiFID, EMIR and SFTR. MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) covers new dealing commission rules, transaction reporting, clearing and other transparency requirements. The European Market Infrastructure Regulation, otherwise known as EMIR, was created with the intention of stabilizing over-the-counter (OTC) markets found within EU member states. ESMA regulates securities financing activities by setting out reporting requirements, data access, collection, verification, aggregation, comparison and publication of data on securities financing transactions (SFTs) by trade repositories (TRs). The Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) is the main piece of EU legislation in this area
