The person will play a pivotal role in securing debt financing both for working capital and project financing, managing project finance initiatives and optimizing opportunities for subsidies and grants at both domestic and global level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial background, in depth financial market understanding exceptional analytical skills and ability to navigate complex funding landscapes.

The Associate Director – Corporate Finance will play a strategic leadership role in driving the company’s fundraising initiatives across debt and equity, including working capital, project financing, and equity rounds (private placements, strategic investors, or IPOs). The role also encompasses structuring and executing project finance transactions, optimizing access to subsidies and grants (domestic and global), and supporting long-term financial strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, deep market understanding, proven experience in both debt and equity capital markets, and the ability to structure complex financial transactions aligned with business growth objectives.

Experience

10–12 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or project finance, with exposure to both debt and equity fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

1. Debt Fundraising

  • Identify and evaluate potential debt financing sources, including banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, and private lenders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to secure favorable debt terms for working capital and project finance requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive debt proposals, information memoranda, and presentations for lenders.
  • Liaise with banks / FIs for proposal closures and ensure timely completion of documentation and due diligence.
  • 2. Equity Fundraising

  • Drive equity fundraising initiatives across private equity, venture capital, strategic investors, and public markets (including IPO readiness).
  • Develop investment pitch decks, valuation models, and investor presentations.
  • Coordinate due diligence, term sheet negotiations, and closure of equity transactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, and potential investors.
  • 3. Project Finance

  • Develop detailed financial models and project-specific funding structures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial closure of new and expansion projects.
  • Ensure adherence to financing agreements, covenants, and compliance requirements.
  • 5. Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decisions on fundraising and capital allocation.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, investors, and financial partners.
  • Provide insights into project viability and returns on funded initiatives.
  • 6. Relationship Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and grant agencies.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and senior management for negotiation and finalization of financing agreements.
  • 7. Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on capital market trends, regulatory developments, and funding opportunities across sectors.
  • Evaluate the financial and strategic viability of potential projects and funding sources.
  • Qualifications and Skills

    Education :

    o Chartered Accountant (CA), or B.Tech / B.E with MBA / PGDM in Finance, or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven experience in debt and equity fundraising (including private equity, strategic investments, or IPO processes).
  • Strong background in project finance, working capital management, and exposure to manufacturing or clean tech sectors preferred.
  • Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing project finance, equity markets, and government incentive schemes.
