About this Position
The Incumbent shall lead project teams, define
project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop comprehensive project
plans which includes setting timelines, allocating resources, and managing
budgets.
What you´ll do
Technical
Expertise : Oversee the design, procurement,
and installation of key plant equipment such as mixers, pumps, Reactors,
Filling, Packaging machines and material handling systems. Ensure
all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
As-Built
Document Analysis : The ability
to thoroughly review and interpret outdated or incomplete
"as-built" drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams
(P&IDs), and other historical plant documents.
Site and
Equipment Assessment : Expertise in
assessing the current condition and integrity of existing equipment,
pipelines, and structural components. This includes identifying signs of
wear, corrosion, and structural weaknesses that could affect the project.
Interference
and Clash Detection : Strong
spatial reasoning and the ability to identify potential physical
interferences between new and old equipment, piping, and structures, often
using 3D scanning and modeling software.
Legacy System
Integration : Knowledge of
how to integrate modern control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC) and equipment
with older, often obsolete, plant technology.
Infrastructure
Management : Supervise
projects related to civil infrastructure, including the design and
construction of buildings, foundations, and specialized structures like warehouse
racking systems, Building extension, Strengthening Projects
Safety and
Compliance : Implement
and enforce safety protocols, with a strong focus on mitigating chemical
hazards. Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and
MIDC, DISH regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety
standards.
Cross-Functional
Collaboration : Work closely
with various departments, including operations, maintenance, engineering,
and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution. Act as the primary
point of contact for stakeholders.
What makes you a good fit
Should have a Bachelor's
degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related
field..
Minimum 12 years of
progressive experience in project management within the chemical or
continuous process industry
Proven
experience with civil infrastructure projects, including warehouse design
and racking systems.
A strong
understanding of chemical hazards, safety protocols, and regulatory
compliance (PSSR, DRA, Gate reviews)
Proficient in
project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera
P6).
Excellent
leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to
manage and motivate a diverse team.
