We are seeking for the role of Lead Business Analyst

In this role, you will : Support effective operations for aligned teams in Business & Financial Management disciplines

  • Financial Management – Partner with Cost Scenario Management team to deliver technology service on budget, meeting stretch targets through comprehensive understanding of cost base and drivers
  • Resource Management – Contribute towards workforce strategy to support organization goals and support resource management operations for the group
  • Risk & Control – Foster a culture of control at every level of the organization
  • Supply Chain Management – Work with Third Party Management team to deliver third party specialist services as effectively and efficiently as possible through well-controlled strategic partnerships
  • Work with the wider Business Management & Cost and Scenario Management team in order to transform the department, including the way we produce and report MI, and operating practises. The team is truly global so work with colleagues across the globe to achieve this goal. Become a core contributor to constant improvement and change.
  • Understand and engage with management team regarding the departmental strategy.
  • Contribute to the transformation of IT management processes with automation, improved accuracy, improved cycle, and tracking. Define 'how' we operate in pursuit of the fundamental HSBC purposes of connecting customers to opportunities, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions. Enable the business to be where the growth is, and transform the work environment to be dependable, open and connected.
  • Special Projects – Participation in variety of special projects (Enterprise Wide / Departmental) to support transformation and efficiency agenda

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements :

  • Exceptional financial acumen, able to distil large complex sets of data
  • Able to evidence where have made successful transformative change
  • Skilled decision-maker – considered and timely especially when under pressure
  • Very articulate - strong consensus building qualities
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users.
  • Strong customer focus with a drive to deliver standards of service to internal clients at least equivalent to external providers.
  • Able to work with many simultaneous tasks in a pressurized, time-sensitive environment
  • Able to drive significant change in a rapidly evolving organisation with little direction and without adversely impacting day-to-day delivery
  • Able to ensure accurate information maintenance at all levels despite rapid and frequent changes
  • Understand how technology and process change adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer
  • Ability to rapidly build and manage a strong network of relationships based on integrity and trust.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate across all levels inside HSBC and with external third parties
  • Extensive large budget / financial and business planning experience with high degree of financial acumen
  • Strong skills in creating executive level PowerPoint presentations articulating messages to the business and enabling / facilitating decision making
  • Able to work with autonomy and be a self-starter
