About Wholesale Credit
The Retail Credit department in the Bank is a Credit Underwriting department for all the Retail clientele of the Bank. It is also responsible for ensuring the maintenance of a good portfolio quality and for ensuring smooth credit appraisal processes
About the Role
The Regional Credit Manager SBB Credit manages the credit activities and processes for loan applications of Small Business Banking customers under Retail Credit for the Region assigned to him. The Regional Credit Manager is responsible for smooth functioning of the Credit appraisal activities and hence managing the portfolio quality and also ensures adherence to the processes designed by the bank.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of 15 to 20 CPC Area Credit Managers SBB Credit and Further Credit Managers SBB, who report to such ACMs
Ensure smooth functioning of the Region by meeting required productivity norms within the desired Turn Around Time & Approval Ratio as defined by the Bank
Underwriting / review of Credit Proposals including Review / Renewals of the proposals by ensuring adherence to the standard process, Turn Around Time and decision consistency
Ensure the quality of proposals and credit appraisal to minimize delinquency and build portfolio of expected quality.
Maintaining accurate and up to date MIS reports, Inspection & monitoring of portfolios under various sub-segments to ensure maintenance of a healthy portfolio
Gather market intelligence with other financial institutions and entities to understand the market dynamics and risk trends, and to use necessary information for taking credit decisions
Manage the relationship with various functions and departments within the bank to ensure collaboration and alignment to organizational objectives
Ensure timely completion of key deliverables, audit queries and adherence to the corporate retail policy / scheme, compliance related matters, PSL classification etc
Give timely feedback to CO team of policy, ZCM, NCM & Head Credit on market developments, suggestions on improvement on Products, Policy and processes etc
Ensuring vendor management consisting of panel valuers, advocates, PD agencies etc
Ensuring periodic training to all stakeholders on products, policies and processes etc
Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is :
Graduation / Post- Graduation (MBA / CA preferred) from a recognized institute
Experience of over 6 to 8 years in assessing funding of various products to MSME segment & Self Employed Professional
