Credit Control Manager

Job descriptionLead the collections team to achieve timely recovery of outstanding dues. Monitor ageing reports and drive resolution of overdue accounts. Develop and execute action plans for high-risk or delinquent accounts. Conduct regular review meetings with Regional Sales Managers and Branch Managers to address regional dues. Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Logistics, and Finance teams to resolve payment disputes and streamline processes. Review and enhance credit control processes, including Terms of Trade (TOT) and customer agreements. Implement automation and reporting tools to improve efficiency and transparency. Provide senior management with detailed reports on credit performance, debt ageing, and risk exposure. Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions to mitigate financial risks. Mentor and guide the Accounts Receivable (AR) team in accurate posting of transactions and reconciliation. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and performance excellence. Liaise with the Legal department on accounts under litigation or recovery proceedings. Ensure timely documentation and support for legal actions. Act as a senior point of contact for escalated customer queries and disputes. Ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining firm credit control standards. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration 5–8 years of experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities Proven track record in reducing bad debts and improving collection cycles

The role demands strategic oversight, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement to support the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.
