Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contractual Compliance Consultant to ensure adherence to regulatory, contractual, and company-specific compliance requirements within the Petrochemical, Plastics, or Rubber industry.
The consultant will be responsible for assessing, reviewing, and managing compliance risks in contracts, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth and compliant execution of commercial and operational obligations.
Key Responsibilities (KRA)
- Review and assess commercial contracts for compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate contractual risks across projects and supply chain functions
- Ensure all executed contracts are aligned with applicable industry standards and regulatory frameworks
- Monitor vendor and third-party compliance with contractual obligations
- Work closely with legal, procurement, and business units to manage contract-related queries
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance protocols
- Draft and implement contract compliance guidelines, SOPs, and documentation
- Support internal and external audits related to contracts and regulatory matters
- Maintain a centralized repository for contracts and compliance tracking
- Stay up to date on industry-specific regulations and provide impact analysis on operations
- Report compliance deviations or risks to senior management and suggest corrective actions
Required Skillsets
Strong understanding of contractual frameworks, compliance laws, and regulatory standardsIn-depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management in the petrochemical / plastics / rubber industryFamiliarity with regulatory bodies such as BIS, REACH, OSHA, and environmental laws (if applicable)Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual termsStrong analytical and risk assessment capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in MS Office, contract management software, and document management systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting Master's / Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Compliance Management, or a related field4-6 years of relevant experience in contractual compliance within petrochemical, plastics, or rubber industriesCertification in Contract Management or Compliance (preferred)(ref : iimjobs.com)
