- Analyse and integrate well data to define rock and fluid frameworks for integrated subsurface models
- Evaluate and communicate petrophysical uncertainty and reservoir-scale scenarios
- Provide input into data acquisition plans to support decision-making
- Integrate petrophysical interpretations with geological models
- Become an active contributor to bp's global petrophysics community to share and apply best practices and innovation
What You Will Need to Be Successful
Education
Advanced degree (MA, MSc, or PhD) in geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, or a related science disciplineExperience
At least 5 years of experience as a petrophysicist in an integrated oil and gas company or with a service providerMust-Have Skills
Strong skills in reservoir characterization and log interpretationExperience using open hole logs, core data, pressures, fluids, and dynamic dataFamiliarity with both modern and vintage wireline / LWD toolsIntegration of petrophysical data with geological scenariosProficiency in well log interpretation software, preferably TechlogAbility to work with large datasets pragmaticallyStrong analytical and collaborative skillsExcellent English communication (spoken and written)Good-to-Have Skills
Cased hole log interpretationData visualization using Spotfire or PowerBIExperience with PetrelProgramming skills in Python, with experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, or data analyticsYou Will Work With
