Accounting Controller - Financial Operations

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of our U.S. based company from our India office. This role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, while acting as a key liaison between the India team and U.S. Responsibilities :

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and month-end / year-end close.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring integrity and consistency across all financial reporting.
• Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and compliance with U.S. federal and state requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the U.S. leadership team to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage financial data using tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERPs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in accounting workflows.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes in U.S. accounting and compliance & Skills :
• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
• 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to U.S. based companies or operations.
• Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software / ERPs such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar tools.
• Excellent understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-border teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
