Job Description

The Head - Vehicle Supply Management will be responsible for end-to-end supply planning, vendor management, and transport deployment across branches. This role demands strong leadership in managing vehicle supply operations, ensuring demand fulfillment, enhancing margins, and implementing strategic initiatives that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Supply Management

Drive supply planning in line with business targets and growth objectives.

Provide strategic guidance to the supply team and align with Branch Heads to deliver agreed supply metrics.

Work closely with operations teams to design and execute fleet deployment strategies for different projects across branches.

Ensure daily supply availability is consistently higher than demand to support business requirements.

Review supply performance and report progress during monthly management reviews.

Vendor & Partner Management

Manage vendor ecosystem, including onboarding, negotiations, and long-term relationship building.

Ensure effective selection, deployment, and rotation of vehicles across branches in collaboration with Branch Heads.

Monitor and optimize vendor performance to enhance margins as per business guidelines.

Manage escalation processes with external stakeholders and resolve supply-side challenges.

Business Collaboration & Growth

Partner with sales and operations teams to create customized transport and mobility solutions that drive business wins.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective customer solutions and operational readiness.

Continuously adapt and introduce latest technological solutions to strengthen vehicle supply management.

Governance & Customer Experience

Ensure 100% adherence to compliance, integrity, and safety policies in all supply operations.

Drive process improvements and system enhancements to boost customer satisfaction by achieving 100% vehicle deployment targets.

Proactively monitor external market conditions and operational risks, ensuring timely escalations and mitigation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

15-20 years of experience in transport operations, vendor management, or fleet supply management , with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong expertise in vendor negotiations, vehicle deployment planning, and transport cost optimization.

Proven track record in managing large-scale supply operations across multiple locations.

Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to drive adoption of new technologies in fleet and supply management.
