What are we looking for
We are seeking a seasoned Project Scheduler to take charge of defining, implementing, and managing robust planning structures for our projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze and challenge schedules, identify risks, propose solutions, and actively contribute to optimizing project delivery in an industrial environment. You will be instrumental in driving efficient project execution and supporting key decision-making processes.

Strategy :
- Define the most suitable planning structure before project Kick-off to ensure effective project scheduling.
- List and sequence all activities according to the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and durations (standard or estimated).
- Participate in elaborating the schedule process with suppliers, working towards schedule improvement.
- Support the project team during internal or external working sessions.
- Adapt the planning structure with the project team if needed during execution to ensure effective project follow-up.
- Adapt the lists and sequences of all activities according to WBS and durations (standard or estimated) if needed during execution.
- Together with the project manager, analyze and challenge schedules (Supplier, Customer, Internal). Adapt and feed the corresponding indicators.
- Participate in elaborating proofs of delays / non-delays in the litigation process with suppliers / customers.
- Support the project team during dispute meetings on deadlines with the customer or suppliers.
- Evaluate current processes and recommend changes to improve planning efficiency.
- Collaborate with the John Cockerill global PMO team for product development and customer project execution.
Operations :
Collect and analyze all necessary information to plan projects.List and sequence all activities according to WBS and durations (standard or estimated).Identify and include external interfaces (Customers, Suppliers...).Implement progress update rituals through the various departments involved in the project.Generate forecasts, backlog reports, advances, and any other useful documentation to track and manage projects.Create S-curve and histogram .Consolidate workload and manage resources planning.Analyze the critical path, highlight delays, and suggest options to reduce risks.Verify schedule consistency with delivery dates.Identify and resolve issues that lead to scheduling errors.Analyze the impact of a change request.Challenge the organization to control and reduce delays.Understands and uses standardized planning methods and tools.Collaborate with the schedulers community within the Group to propose and implement standardized planning solutions and best practices.Participate in the administration of planning tools.Ensure technological watch and benchmark in their field of expertise.Propose and implement rapid solutions for small projects or pre-projects.Implement a consolidation tool to analyze workloads and progress by business line or other level of filter / grouping to help team managers better control their department's activities.Implement follow-up tools.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Master's degree in project management or a related field.Experience : Minimum 10 - 12 years experience in project scheduling in an industrial environment.Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous.Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software (ideally MS Projects ).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including pivot tables for reporting.Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within similar industrial projects.Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.Fluent in English (strong written, verbal, and proven presentation), French is a plus.Skills Required
