ROS 2 Robotics Engineer (Drone Domain)
We at (Macfos Limited) are seeking a highly skilled ROS 2 Robotics Engineer with strong experience in drone system development and aerial robotics. The candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, and optimizing flight-control software and autonomous navigation stacks using Robot Operating System 2 (ROS 2).
This role requires expertise in C++ / Python, PX4 or ArduPilot integration, sensor fusion and real-time communication frameworks for aerial platforms.
Number of Positions : 01 required.
Experience : 1- 3 years ROS 2 and drone software development.
Salary Range / CTC : ₹ 6,68,988 / - to ₹ 9,14,748 / - Per Annum; In Hand : Rs.50-K to Rs. 70-K Per Month.

Educational Qualification : Bachelors / Master's Degree – Robotics, Aerospace, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
Required Skills :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Aerospace, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.1 – 3 years of experience in ROS 2 and drone software development.Proficiency in C++ (14 / 17) and Python for real-time applications.Strong hands-on experience with PX4 / ArduPilot and MAVLink communication.Deep understanding of UAV dynamics, flight-control loops (PID, MPC), and navigation algorithms.Experience with sensor drivers and data fusion (IMU, GPS, LiDAR, vision sensors).Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu), and version control (Git).Familiarity with RTOS concepts and real-time system debugging.Gender : Male / Female (anyone can apply).
Key Responsibilities / Requirements :
Design, develop, and maintain ROS 2 nodes and packages for autonomous drone operations.Integrate PX4 / ArduPilot flight controllers with ROS 2 using MAVROS / MAVLink / MicroRTPS bridges.Implement sensor fusion frameworks combining LiDAR, IMU, barometer, GPS, and cameras.Develop and tune autonomous flight, navigation, and obstacle-avoidance algorithms using ROS 2 (Nav2, MoveIt 2, SLAM toolboxes).Build and test simulation environments for UAVs in Gazebo / Ignition / AirSim with ROS 2 integration.Optimize firmware and middleware for real-time performance, latency, and power efficiency.Collaborate with embedded, hardware, and AI teams to ensure seamless integration between onboard compute and flight systems.Conduct flight tests, data logging, and performance analysis to validate algorithms and control behavior.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in autonomous drone missions, swarm coordination, or BVLOS flight systems.Knowledge of computer vision and perception frameworks (OpenCV, YOLO, TensorRT, RTAB-Map).Exposure to AI-based flight path planning and obstacle-avoidance pipelines.Familiarity with Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or other onboard compute platforms.Knowledge of safety standards, redundancy systems and flight-data analysis tools.Soft Skills Required :
