Job description

Lead Architect : 8 to 12 plus years on Salesforce; 3 to 5 plus years in CPQ or Revenue Cloud; led multiple complex migrations.

Revenue Cloud Domain

 Configurator : Products, Options, Configuration Attributes and classic rules transitioning to Components and

CML.

 Pricing : Price Rules and Discount Schedules transitioning to Pricing Procedures, Price Tables, Promotions, and

Ramps.

 MDQ and usage : legacy dimensions and custom logic transitioning to first-class time segments and Usage Rate

Tables.

 Transactions and lifecycle : Quotes, Orders, Assets, Subscriptions; amendment and renewal parity; awareness of

approval triggers.

 Multi-currency : precision and rounding policies, FX handling, localized price presentation.

Platform Engineering

 Apex, SOQL and SOSL, Batchable and Queueable, Platform Events; Bulk and Composite API patterns designed

for governor limits.

 CI / CD discipline, source-driven development, test automation for pricing and rules parity.

Migration Engineering

 Schema diffing, mapping specifications, transform rules, lineage and correlation IDs.

 Idempotent upserts, allOrNone set to false strategies, duplicate detection, bundle reuse detection.

 Reconciliation design for data parity and pricing parity; acceptance thresholds and service-level objectives.

 Rollback design with snapshotting, drill time objectives, delta runs for incremental correction.

Performance and Reliability

 Partitioning and parallelization, staged commits, retry and backoff, selective indexing.

 Long-running job observability and recovery plans for million-row catalogs and high quote-line volumes.

Additional

 Prior large-scale CPQ or Revenue Cloud Advanced migrations across telecom, SaaS, healthcare, or financial

services.

 Cross-org or wave orchestration with MuleSoft, Kafka, or RabbitMQ; Shield or Event Monitoring familiarity.

 AI-assist for mapping and risk prediction with human-in-the-loop and explainability.

Responsibilities

 Modeling in Revenue Cloud Advanced Re-express Products and Options as Component hierarchies, author CML

constraints, normalize attributes and naming standards.

 Pricing, promotions, and procedures Convert CPQ Price Rules into Pricing Procedures; materialize Price Tables,

Promotions, Ramps; codify rounding and precision.

 MDQ and usage pricing Implement time segments and Usage Products with Rate Tables for tiered, volume, and

overage models; define consumption schedules.

 Lifecycle parity Deliver migrations for quotes to orders to assets to subscriptions; preserve asset lineage and

contract references; maintain approval parity.

 Safety rails Build preflight checks, canary sampling, acceptance thresholds, one-click rollback, delta strategies, and

clear error taxonomy.

 Observability Instrument stage timing, run manifests, pass and fail reasons; ship CRM Analytics dashboards and

audit packs.

 Data quality Drive deduplication and picklist reuse, attribute code standards, safe deletes, bundle-reuse detection;

maintain golden datasets.

 APIs and extensibility Publish public hooks and events, feature flags, and integration touchpoints for partner

workflows and cross-org orchestration.
