We are a U.S.-based immigration law firm expanding our operations to India. We are looking for a dedicated and highly capable professional to join as our Office Manager & HR Lead in Gujarat. This role will be pivotal in establishing and managing our India office while supporting talent acquisition and HR functions.
About the Role :
This is a dual role where you will assist with preparing immigration filings and act as a client care specialist, answering calls and emails from existing clients regarding their case status and questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the India office, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with local regulations.
- Lead recruitment efforts to build a strong team of immigration professionals, paralegals, and support staff in India.
- Serve as the HR point of contact – manage employee onboarding, performance tracking, HR policies, payroll coordination, and employee relations.
- Work closely with the U.S. leadership team to align India operations with firm-wide standards, policies, and goals.
- Provide support in training new staff on U.S. immigration case management procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, office setup, and administrative needs for the physical office in Ahmedabad (expected by January 2026).
Preferred Qualifications
A foreign-trained attorney with an L.L.B. (or equivalent) from India (required).Highly fluent in English — both spoken and writtenPrior experience working with U.S. immigration lawMust currently reside in Gujarat, India and be willing to transition to a physical office in Ahmedabad by January 2026.Professional, patient, and empathetic in your client interactions.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases at once.Available to work full-time during U.S. Eastern Time Zone business hours.Tech-savvy with reliable internet, a computer, and a quiet space to take calls.What We Offer
