The Associate Professor will be a key contributor to the academic and research excellence of the School of Technology. This role involves leading high-impact teaching, research, and institutional development initiatives in Computer Science and allied technologies. The candidate will be expected to mentor faculty and students, secure and lead funded research projects, and cultivate industry and global academic partnerships in alignment with Woxsen's vision of interdisciplinarity and innovation in emerging areas like AI, Data Science, and Cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic & Teaching Leadership
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lectures and practical sessions at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in core and advanced CSE disciplines.
- Develop and continuously update curricula to align with industry trends, international standards, and innovative pedagogical approaches (e.g., experiential learning, simulation-based teaching, interdisciplinary modules).
- Supervise student projects, internships, dissertations, and guide Ph.D. scholars.
- Mentor and provide academic guidance to students.
2. Research & Publications Excellence
Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to a sustained record of high-quality publications in Scopus / WoS indexed journals and reputed conferences.Secure external research grants and lead funded research projects from national / international agencies and industry partners.Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects across various schools within the university (e.g., Business, Design).Mentor junior faculty and research scholars to enhance the school's overall research output.3. Institutional & Community Engagement
Participate actively in academic governance, including curriculum development committees and accreditation processes.Lead special initiatives under Woxsen's Centres of Excellence (e.g., AI, Sustainability).Foster strong relationships with industry leaders for joint research, consulting, and student placements.Represent Woxsen's research and innovation ecosystem at conferences, workshops, and outreach initiatives.Qualifications & Experience
Essential Requirements
Education : A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a reputed institution.Experience : A minimum of 8–10 years of total academic / research experience, with at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.Publications : Proven record of high-quality research publications in Scopus / WoS indexed journals and reputable conferences.Preferred Areas of Expertise (One or More)
