Project Engineer
My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their growing civil construction team, working across a range of urban development and infrastructure projects throughout South East Queensland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who’s ready to take ownership of key project deliverables, collaborate with a high-performing on-site team, and play a pivotal role in shaping quality outcomes for local communities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing project estimates, budgets, and programs to optimise time and cost performance.
Monitor construction progress, coordinate project activities, and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Manage quality control documentation , including registers, inspections, and reports.
Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring work is delivered to specification and schedule.
Support ongoing HSE compliance and environmental management.
Contribute to project planning, cost forecasting, procurement, and stakeholder communication.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical capability, strong communication, and practical site experience.
You will have :
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
5+ years’ experience in urban development and civil construction projects
Proven experience delivering projects for Gold Coast City or Logan City Council
Strong IT and systems knowledge (Microsoft Project, Excel, and current technologies)
Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and construction delivery
Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, QA, and cost reporting
A proactive, safety-focused mindset and a commitment to teamwork
