Job Description
Job Summary : Ford Motor Company is seeking a motivated and experienced Digital Signage Planning Engineer. This role involves optimizing and expanding our digital signage platform across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in digital signage solutions, with specific expertise in Appspace Cloud, Brightsign, Samsung and PC based players. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of our digital signage solutions, from deployment and maintenance to feature releases and user training.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and administer core digital signage platforms.
- Lab test and certify player versions.
- Work with power-users to implement complex signage solutions such as video walls, social media integrations, wayfinding and manufacturing solutions.
- Collaborate extensively with multiple external vendors to evaluate new tech, troubleshoot and enhance existing solutions.
- Work closely with internal network teams on wireless certificate management, extranet changes and content distribution optimization.
- Assist with vendor contract renewals related to signage.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, change processes, and user best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to stage proof of concept platform and player tests.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with Appspace or similar content management platformsStrong experience managing Brightsign digital signage players.Preferred Qualifications :
Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure relevant to digital signage (e.g., TCP / IP, multicast, firewalls, Wi-Fi).Experience with other digital signage hardware and software platforms.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Skills Required
