Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Mainframe MQ Administrator with 10+ years of expertise to manage and maintain our mission-critical IBM MQ environment within a Banking project.
This role requires deep technical skills in MQ product lifecycle management, architecture design, object definition, monitoring, and advanced troubleshooting.
The administrator will be crucial in ensuring the scalability, assured delivery, and asynchronous nature of our message-driven processes.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations Management :
Lead experience in IBM MQ product installation, upgrades, maintenance, configurations, and troubleshooting.Architecture Design :
Design the MQ architecture pattern for the message processing flow as per new application requirements.Object Definition :
Define essential MQ objects including queues, channels, process definitions, and Topics.Monitoring & Tuning :
Perform MQ online monitoringand set up alerts and monitoring using tools like MQ explorer, Omegamon for MQ, and TEPS.Investigate MQ CPU usage using SMF statistics.Data Handling :
Execute IBM MQ utilities to handle MQ queue messages (e.g., backup, deleting specific records).Vendor Coordination :
Coordinate with IBM and ISV Vendors for ticketing incidents / problems, software downloads, and escalations.Required Technical Skills & Competencies (Must-Have) :
Experience in IBM MQ product installation, upgrades, maintenance, configurations, and troubleshooting.Expertise in administrating, alert setup, and monitoring the message process using tools like MQ explorer, Omegamon for MQ, and TEPS.Ability to design the MQ architecture pattern for the message processing flow and define MQ objects (queues, channel, Topic, etc.)Skilled at executing IBM MQ utilities to handle MQ queue messages (backup, deleting a particular records etc.)Desired Skills (Good-to-Have) :
