Job Title : Director – Sales (US Market)

Department : Global Business Development / International Sales

Reports To : Chief Business Officer (CBO)

Locations : Noida | Gurugram | Bangalore

Experience Required : 12–18 Years

Industry Preference : EdTech | Higher Education | Online Learning | B2C & B2B Sales (US Market Focus)

Role Overview :

The Director – Sales (US Market) will be responsible for driving the overall sales, revenue growth, and profitability for SNVA Veranda Ltd's US market operations. This is a high-impact, target-oriented leadership role demanding extensive experience in both B2C (direct student enrolments) and B2B (institutional, channel, and corporate partnerships).

Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, the Director will lead a large Inside Sales organization of 50+ members across Noida, Gurugram, and Bangalore, ensuring optimal productivity, conversion efficiency, and profitability. The incumbent will also coordinate closely with the Marketing team for lead generation, campaign optimization, and brand positioning to achieve aggressive growth targets and a strong ROI.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Design and implement a robust sales strategy for the US market, integrating both B2C and B2B sales channels.
  • Achieve aggressive monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and profit targets, with complete P&L ownership.
  • Identify growth opportunities across products, geographies, and customer segments.
  • Build partnerships with US universities, corporates, and channel distributors to expand reach.

2. Inside Sales Team Management

  • Lead and manage a 50+ member Inside Sales team distributed across Noida, Gurugram, and Bangalore.
  • Drive a high-performance, target-oriented culture through clear KPIs, incentives, and daily performance tracking.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales managers and executives; scale the team as business grows.
  • Ensure consistent performance management, productivity enhancement, and leadership succession planning.
  • 3. Coordination with Marketing for Lead Generation

  • Partner closely with the Marketing team to plan and execute effective lead-generation campaigns for the US market.
  • Define lead qualification parameters, monitor lead quality, and track ROI on marketing spends.
  • Share feedback and data insights with Marketing to refine campaigns and improve conversion rates.
  • Align marketing funnels with sales conversion processes to ensure end-to-end accountability.
  • 4. Sales Operations & Revenue Management

  • Monitor and optimize the entire sales funnel from lead to closure, ensuring strong conversion metrics.
  • Set clear revenue targets, pricing structures, and profitability benchmarks.
  • Implement data-driven forecasting, daily dashboards, and performance analytics.
  • Ensure cross-collaboration with product, academic, and operations teams to maintain service excellence.
  • 5. Profit & Loss Accountability

  • Take full responsibility for the P&L of the US Market—including sales revenue, margins, discounts, and operational costs.
  • Analyze profitability by region, program, and channel to identify efficiency gaps.
  • Develop cost-control measures and optimize resource allocation for maximum return.
  • 6. Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide weekly and monthly business performance reports to the CBO and leadership team.
  • Work with technology, finance, and HR departments for systems integration, budgeting, and manpower planning.
  • Represent SNVA Veranda Ltd in global education forums, webinars, and strategic partner meetings when required.
  • Key Skills & Competencies :

  • Proven experience in both B2C and B2B sales (preferably in EdTech or Higher Education).
  • Strong ability to build, lead, and scale Inside Sales teams of 50+ members.
  • Hands-on experience in hiring, training, mentoring, and team performance management.
  • Deep knowledge of lead generation and marketing coordination processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Expertise in using CRM tools (Salesforce / HubSpot / Zoho) and data-driven sales management.
  • Highly target-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a high-pressure, results-oriented environment.
  • Strategic mindset combined with operational agility and financial discipline.
  • Educational Qualification :

  • MBA / Master's in Business Administration, Marketing or International Business (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (required)
  • Performance Metrics :

  • Achievement of quarterly and annual sales & profit targets.
  • B2C and B2B revenue growth and market expansion in the US region.
  • Productivity and conversion rates of Inside Sales teams.
  • Lead-to-conversion ratio and marketing ROI.
  • Cost-efficiency and profit margins (P&L performance).
