Responsible for driving revenue through the sales and promotion of dairy-based food products and nutraceutical supplements within an assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, building client relationships, achieving sales targets, and providing market feedback to internal teams. Lead generation, product presentations, negotiation, interest in health & nutrition markets, with the ability to connect with distributors, retailers, health professionals, and institutional buyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new clients by identifying and reaching out to potential customers through research, cold calling, networking, referrals, etc., and generate leads using various channels.
- Successfully closing deals and securing new business.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to gain trust, ensure repeat business and upselling opportunities.
- Deliver compelling product presentations, highlighting their benefits and addressing the concerns, prepare proposals and customized quotations based on client requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging market opportunities, handle pricing, contract negotiations, and terms of sale to finalize sales agreements and ensure customer satisfaction post-sale.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
Preferred Skills
1–2 years of prior experience in B2B sales in FMCG, nutraceutical, dairy, pharma, health supplement industries, or similar roles.Experience in dealing with retailers, distributors, HCPs, or institutional clients.Organized and punctual in all communications and reporting.Knowledge of software like Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets, etc., and comfortable using CRM software to manage customer interactions, track leads, and record sales data.Can type and enter data quickly & accurately while maintaining up-to-date records of all sales-related data.Key Skills : Strong communication, interpersonal skills, field sales & customer acquisition, negotiation and persuasion abilities, product promotion & demonstration, teamwork, hardworking, organizational skills, multitasking, time management, typing, and data entry skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy, food technology, nutrition, commerce, or any related field.An MBA in marketing or a related specialization is a plus.
