Role Summary
The Finishing Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely execution of all finishing works at the project site. This includes plastering, flooring, painting, false ceiling, joinery, waterproofing, and other architectural finishes. The role requires coordination between civil, MEP, and architectural teams to deliver a defect-free final product within schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage finishing activities such as plastering, tiling, painting, ceiling, woodwork, and façade finishes.
- Ensure all finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to resolve site issues and maintain workflow.
- Conduct inspections and ensure corrective actions for non-conformities.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure productivity and material optimization.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and update the project schedule accordingly.
- Ensure proper safety practices and housekeeping at the worksite.
- Review and approve drawings and material samples for finishing items.
- Participate in snag list preparation and handover process.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.3–7 years of experience in high-end residential, commercial, or infrastructure finishing works.Strong knowledge of finishing materials, standards, and modern construction techniques.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and timelines.
