Job descriptionDevelop custom, scalable Shopify themes from scratch using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React / Next.js. Build and integrate complex backend functionalities using Node.js, Express.js, PHP or any server-side language. Engineer custom solutions to overcome platform limitations. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services. Collaborate directly with stakeholders, designers, and project managers to define business requirements and translate them into actionable technical tasks. Review project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery. Lead the integration of third-party services and APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing guidance on technical challenges and promoting professional growth. Conduct thorough code reviews and pair programming sessions to maintain high code quality and share knowledge. Assist in the recruitment process, including conducting technical interviews and onboarding new team members. Optimize application performance through debugging, refactoring, and implementing best practices. Oversee the deployment of web applications from development to production environments. Experience : 6+ years of experience in web development, with at least 4+ years specializing in the Shopify ecosystem. Expertise in Shopify theme development, front-end technologies, modern JS frameworks, back-end proficiency, database management, and cloud services.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Director to lead our e-commerce development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Shopify ecosystem, full-stack development capabilities, and a proven track record of leading projects from conception to launch.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership & Strategy : Lead the technical direction for multiple Shopify Plus projects, evaluating and adopting new technologies to enhance development processes and product capabilities.
- Create and enforce development standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure code quality and system maintainability.
- Guide technical decision-making processes, including architecture reviews and technology selection.
