Main Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical delivery of clean water modelling projects within programme and budget
- Excellence in the quality of delivery from yourself and your team
- Developing methodologies, guidance and templates for various engineering and modelling projects
- Working collaboratively with multiple-disciplinary teams internally and externally
- Developing and maintaining deep relationship with clients
Primary Operational Responsibilities
Providing support and mentoring to junior staffSupporting the tendering process including proposal input and cost estimateDriving health and safety through everything we doSupply information for use in Coordination Meetings and attend as requiredIdentify and escalate risks as requiredLead on a wide variety of projects such as Model build calibration, Model Maintenance, Optioneering, Growth studies, large capital design, water quality, leakage studies and network optimisation Works.Reports to the Associate director / Engineering ManagerHere's what you'll need
Experience
Team Management ExperienceDemonstrable experience in modelling software and GIS packages10 years of project delivery experience in clean water network modelling and associated activities. Experience working with clients in UK, Australia, Middle East, US, NZQualifications
Minimum of a Degree or Honours Degree in Civil engineering or geography related discipline or master's in water resources and related disciplinesSkills and Competencies
Client service management including stakeholder engagement, proven ability to work as part of a team, liaising directly with client or lead offices and other project team membersExperience of leading, or be able to demonstrate potential to lead a successful team of engineers including technicians and design engineers and familiarity with current industry best practicesDemonstrable experience in modelling software like Infoworks WS Pro, Synergi, Watergems, Epanet, InfoWater and GIS packages ArcMap, MapInfoStrong analytical, communication and technical report writing skillsSound interpersonal and technical management skillsDesired Skills
Chartered engineer or working towards chartership (ideally ICE / CIWEM)
