1. Job Purpose

To lead and manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Ensure timely availability of quality materials at optimal costs, maintains vendor relationships, and upholds compliance with company policies, GMP requirements, and statutory norms.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Strategic Procurement

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production schedules, project timelines, and company goals.
• Ensure sourcing from qualified and approved vendors as per pharma compliance standards (Schedule M, WHO-GMP, etc.).
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and quality.

3. Qualification and Experience

Graduate in Engineering, Sciences or Commerce (MBA in Materials Management or Supply Chain preferred). Candidates should have 4 to 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing setup. Strong skills are required in negotiation, vendor development, cost analysis, ERP or SAP systems, and commercial documentation.
