Responsible for acting as a Technical Resource Specialist in areas of expertise for all Engineering groups. Also acts as a Company or Industry expert in a technical area.Job Description : Roles & responsibilities : Assists the Engineering Manager in assigning, supporting, training, mentoring and reviewing activities of EngineersUtilizes high levels of technical expertise and extensive experience to disposition highly complex technical concernsDevelops customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manualsEffectively communicate with team and internal customers, including managing projectsInvestigates aircraft / component problems which may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actionsDevelops action plans for fleet / multi-fleet and / or component engineering projects and pursues final dispositions according to assessed prioritiesMaintains knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirementsUtilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience. Also strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.Develops procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actionsMonitors daily operations and operational trends to identify and resolve items impacting the operation of the airplanesExperience Required : Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience / training8 years experience in an airline environmentPreferred Qualifications : Master's Degree in EngineeringSystem proficiency in SCEPTRE or DECSExpert knowledge of specific airplane systems and assembliesThorough understanding of FAA Rules and RegulationsOrganization Designation Authorization Unit MemberYellow Belt or higher certification by accredited Lean Six Sigma institutionSkills Required : JavaKafkaAzureAWSArchitectureAdditional Skills Required : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principlesAbility to handle multiple problems / projects at the same time
