This individual works closely with software, network, and systems engineering teams to create solutions that support modern infrastructure patterns such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and cloud computing. The role is hands-on and requires autonomy, innovation, and collaboration, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.This engineer is also responsible for contributing to the overall architecture and strategy of technical systems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring solutions are aligned with T-Mobile's business and technical goalsWhat You’ll Do : Lead design, development, and deployment of software that meets business and technical requirements.Develop full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and platforms.Contribute to system architecture, infrastructure design, and service-oriented approaches.Guide junior engineers and conduct peer reviews to maintain code quality.Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless CI / CD integration and deployment automation.Drive innovation by recommending new technologies, frameworks, and tools.Document systems, APIs, infrastructure, and architecture decisions.Maintain ownership of project deliverables and resolve complex technical challenges.Perform additional duties and strategic projects as assigned.What You’ll Bring : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.4–7 years of hands-on experience in software development and system design.Proven experience delivering scalable, reliable, and secure software in cloud or hybrid environments.Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript).Familiarity with distributed systems, containerization, and microservices.Experience in CI / CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile delivery.Strong analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Must Have Skills : Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot .Design and implement RESTful APIs , ensuring performance, security, and reliability.Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data modeling, storage, and retrieval.Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes in production environments.Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI , or similar.Develop cloud-native applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure , with a focus on scalability and high availability.Integrate and manage messaging systems such as RabbitMQ , Kafka , ActiveMQ , Amazon SQS , or Azure Service Bus for asynchronous communication.
