The Opportunity :
An opportunity has arisen for a Test Analyst (GCB 6) to support the Change lead in the execution of strategy across data domains to drive consumer adoptions to trusted source, managing a book of work supporting multiple consumers across the Bank.
The role of the Test Analyst will be responsible for adherence to testing best practice and governance, analysing and interpreting business requirements to determine the requisite test coverage and assess the risk of regressive defects. This role involves manual and automated testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to financial regulations.
Role & responsibilities for the following activities and deliverables :
- Provide testing analysis, design and execution services and be a lead point of contact for the Accounts and SSI services and platforms test delivery.
- Be responsible for helping the Project Manager & Test Lead in building a cohesive testing strategy across all relevant teams to drive the delivery of each stream of work in line with agreed target dates.
- Test Analyst will be expected to work with Project manager & Test Lead to co-ordinate the testing and manage the implementation of the strategy to deliver tangible results in line with quality standards and procedures in use.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing including developing testing scripts, activities to support the Data Operation.
- Test Execution : Execute tests as required by the comprehensive test plan and as prioritised by the Test Lead.
- Defect Logging : Log defects arising during all test phases in the nominated defect management system and manage the resolution of defects through an effective triage process.
- Test Co-ordination : Coordinate the F2B usage of environments and integrate testing with the internal testing.
- Contribute to overall Test strategy by providing regular areas of improvements on testing.
The role operates across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, in conjunction with the Markets & SSv business as well as the various technology teams.
Requirements :
Strong background in Investment Banking Custody and Fund Services, with knowledge of Reference & Static Data, and its application within these businesses.Security Services business knowledge is an added advantage.Ability to deputise for the Test lead & Project Manager in key stakeholder forums and supply the relevant test data and make key decisions related to testing.An understanding of the services offered by data service providers in the MSS OPS space (i.E., DTCC & other market vendor).Collaboration and obtaining feedback from consumers to understand user needs and drive test solutions that deliver value.Working with the change community to support the transformation of ways of working.Builds and maintains networks with all stakeholders.Highly skilled in use of project management tools (Jira, Confluence & SharePoint)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) – comfortable with detail and talking at senior levels.A can-do attitude;self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proven fast learner.
