Resident Engineer – Kubernetes
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with customers to deploy, manage, and support mission-critical storage environments on Kubernetes.
Main Responsibilities :
- Deploy and manage Portworx Enterprise across Kubernetes environments (OpenShift, OpenStack, AKS, etc.).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts involving persistent volumes, storage integration, Linux systems, and cluster operations.
- Collaborate with experts to deliver optimized, secure, and scalable storage solutions.
- Act as the primary technical contact for support escalations, RFEs, and performance issues.
- Improve operational visibility using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
- Document procedures, runbooks, and issue resolution guides.
Requirements :
7+ years in infrastructure / IT, including strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud).Deep understanding of persistent storage in Kubernetes (PVCs, volumes, storage classes).Any Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – particularly how Kubernetes interacts with cloud storage.Experience with OpenShift or similar Kubernetes distributions.Strong communication and documentation skills – you'll be customer-facing.Nice-to-Haves :
Certifications : CKA, CKS, Portworx Certified.Experience with FlashArray, Azure Managed Disks, or blob storage.Background in finance, research, or enterprise-scale environments.CI / CD knowledge related to Kubernetes and storage automation.About Us :
