Role Overview : The WAF & CDN Engineer will be responsible for implementing, deploying, fine-tuning, and supporting Web Application Firewall and Content Delivery Network solutions. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, highly motivated professional with hands-on experience in WAF and CDN platforms, seeking an opportunity to work with a global leader in the media industry. Key Responsibilities : Web Application Firewall (WAF) Configure, deploy, manage, and maintain cloud-native Web Application Firewall solutions. Evaluate existing WAF policies, perform periodic analysis, and provide fine-tuning recommendations. Collaborate closely with application development teams on security-related projects. Monitor and respond to WAF events, analyze alerts, and perform corrective actions. Develop and maintain WAF incident response processes. Strong understanding of OWASP risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation mechanisms. Knowledge of cross-site scripting (XSS), CSRF, SQL injection, DoS / DDoS, API attacks, and related threats. Content Delivery Network (CDN) Manage end-to-end CDN configurations including additions, modifications, and creation of new configurations. Handle CDN-related updates such as SAN updates and DNS modifications. Perform CDN platform migrations and manage CDN net storage. Analyze CDN traffic reports and optimize configurations for performance and reliability. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of TCP / IP, SSL / TLS, DNS, and other web protocols. Solid understanding of web applications, web servers, firewalls, and deployment frameworks. Strong scripting / programming experience in Python and shell scripting. Understanding of regular expressions. Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems. Soft Skills : Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Provides informal technical guidance, mentoring, and assistance to peers and support teams. Ability to make decisions based on company policies, procedures, and best practices. Able to handle additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in application security, WAF management, CDN configurations, or a combination of both. Proven experience working with Akamai and CloudFront. Experience with NGINX+ is an added advantage.
