Newt Global - Database Architect - SQL Server

We are seeking a seasoned Database Developer / Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising database solutions, as well as leading migration and integration efforts across heterogeneous environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Lead database development efforts, including stored procedures, triggers, views, and performance tuning.
• Drive migration projects from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL or vice versa, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to align database architecture with business requirements.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices.
