Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate - General Ledger to join our finance team in India. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and support various accounting functions, contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. This position is suitable for candidates with 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support the month-end close process by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary journal entries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation for external auditors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
