About the Team – Portfolio and Business development
Portfolio Management and Business Development Team is a key part of the core teams at Zydus Lifesciences. This group plays a critical role in identifying and assessing new business opportunities, driving strategic initiatives, and aligning them with long-term company goals. It also supports inorganic growth through licensing, mergers, acquisitions across diverse therapeutic areas and markets and involves collaborations across multiple teams within the larger organization.
Role Overview :
The Manager, Business Development and Portfolio is responsible for conducting comprehensive product analyses, identifying products for internal nomination, collaboration opportunities with external partners, and preparing technical reports to support portfolio and business development initiatives. This role involves monitoring regulatory activities, evaluating market trends, and contributing to long term goals of portfolio and business development for revenue targets and capability building across therapy areas and product categories.

Internal cross function teams, R&D, Marketing, IP
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare product overview reports to identify potential leads for internal nomination and collaboration opportunities. Analyze trends from various data sources covering market data for sales and volume, FDA datasets, Clinical trials and provide actionable insights to the team. Support the team in collaboration projects working with cross functional teams and facilitating he projects at various stages from due diligence to deal closure.
Monitor drug shortages, recall events, regulatory actions, disruptive events and newly published regulatory guidelines. Perform impact analyses of regulatory changes on product strategies.
Support the team for organizing trade events like CPHI, DCAT including lead identification, product opportunity evaluation, meeting scheduling and agenda preparation and other logistical support.
