- Must have : Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce / Business Administration.
- Preferred : MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Operations.
- 12 18 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management for data centers, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record in managing high-value contracts and multi-disciplinary procurement packages.
- Experience in handling procurement for Electrical (HT / LT systems), Mechanical (HVAC, Chillers), Civil, and ELV systems.
- Strong understanding of vendor markets, cost structures, and sourcing strategies for domestic and international suppliers.
- Exposure to project-based procurement , logistics coordination, and customs / commercial compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement dashboards, and analytical reporting tools.
Purpose of the Job-
The Lead Procurement (AI Data Center) wll be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities for AI Data Center projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of materials, equipment, and services. The role will involve managing high-value capital procurement, vendor evaluation, tendering, contract management, and coordination with cross-functional teams across engineering, projects, and finance.
As an individual contributor, the incumbent will drive procurement excellence, standardization of sourcing processes, and supplier relationship management while ensuring adherence to organizational and compliance standards. This position requires strong domain expertise in data center, industrial, or infrastructure procurement , with the ability to handle complex, multi-disciplinary sourcing requirements across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and ELV systems.
Key Deliverables :
Strategic Procurement Planning :Develop and execute project-specific procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and services for AI Data Center construction and operations.End-to-End Sourcing & Tendering :Lead the procurement process including RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and vendor finalization in alignment with project budgets and timelines.Contracting & Vendor Management :Prepare and review contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements ensuring legal, commercial, and technical compliance. Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and key suppliers.Governance & Compliance :Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies, audit standards, and statutory requirements. Maintain documentation accuracy and traceability for all procurement transactionsCross-Functional Collaboration :Work closely with design, project management, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement schedules with project execution plans and resolve supply-related bottlenecks.Key Competencies :Strong technical and commercial understanding of EPC and MEP procurement for large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.Expertise in vendor evaluation, cost benchmarking, and contract management.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with high attention to detail.Ability to handle complex, high-value procurement packages independently.Proficiency in procurement management systems (SAP / Oracle / Ariba) and MS Office tools.Strong knowledge of procurement governance, risk management, and import / export documentation.Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and external partners under tight deadlines.
