Job Overview :
We are looking for a YouTube Channel Manager to own and grow one or more YouTube channels under the Wiingy brand umbrella. You'll be responsible for shaping the content strategy, publishing cadence, community engagement, and overall performance of the channels - ensuring that every video aligns with Wiingy's mission and resonates with the right audience.
This role blends strategy, storytelling, analytics, and creator management - ideal for someone who understands how to grow and manage educational and content-driven channels on YouTube.
Current channels are at 5,000 subscribers on average and generate about 100,000 views a month.
The near term goal is to 10x these numbers.
The role is focussed on US Market
Location : HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Onsite (6 days a week)
What you will do :
1. Channel Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute content strategies for one or more YouTube channels - brand channels as well value-driven channels for categories such as language learning, music, stem learning coding and so on .
- Identify audience segments and content formats that drive growth, watch time, and engagement.
- Define and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent uploads and alignment with brand goals.
2. Content Production & Optimization
Collaborate with creators, video editors, designers, and subject experts to deliver high-quality content.Own end-to-end video production workflows - from concept to publishing.Optimize video titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags, and playlists for reach and retention.Experiment with different formats - shorts, tutorials, explainers, interviews, and storytelling content.3. Analytics & Performance
Track key metrics (views, CTR, watch time, retention, subscriber growth).Use insights from YouTube Analytics and other tools to iterate on content strategy.Benchmark against top channels in similar categories to identify opportunities for improvement.4. Brand & Community Building
Ensure each channel reflects Wiingy's tone, values, and design identity.Engage with the audience through comments, community posts, and collaborations.Work closely with the marketing team to integrate YouTube strategy with overall brand and performance goals.5. Collaboration & Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams (content, design, SEO, paid marketing) and external creators or agencies.Manage creator partnerships, briefing, and deliverables where applicable.What you should have :
1 years of experience managing or growing YouTube channels - brand or creator-led.Ability to quickly build understanding of diverse disciplines from yoga to music to language learning .Strong understanding of YouTube's algorithm, analytics, and content best practices.Experience in educational, edtech, or content-driven categories is a plus.Hands-on with tools like YouTube Studio, VidIQ, TubeBuddy, or similar analytics platforms.Eye for storytelling, pacing, and design - with a bias for experimentation.Ability to manage multiple channels or content streams simultaneously.Please include a portfolio / proof of your relevant work in your application.
