Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute professional to drive customer acquisition and contract execution for our solar power projects. The role involves identifying and engaging high-electricity consumers (residential societies, malls, tech parks, retail chains, and industries), negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), and ensuring smooth commercial closure and compliance. This individual will be the bridge between potential customers and our operations, ensuring both revenue growth and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and build a customer pipeline of large power consumers (500 kVA and above) across multiple segments like residential apartments, malls, tech parks, retail outlets, and industrial clusters.Conduct market research and build intelligence on consumption patterns, energy needs, and competitor offerings.Initiate conversations, present compelling solar energy business cases, and conduct ROI / benefit analysis presentations for decision-makers.Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from customer approach to deal closing.Draft, negotiate, and finalize Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Sale of Power contracts, and related commercial documents in coordination with the legal and finance teams.Ensure regulatory compliance of agreements with government policies, DISCOM regulations, and renewable energy norms.Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as the primary account manager post-contract finalization.Track and report sales pipeline, deal progress, and revenue forecasting to the management team.Collaborate with project execution teams for client handover and ensure timely delivery post-contract signing.Stay updated on electricity tariffs, regulatory changes, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.### Qualifications & Skills
MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred (specialization in Sales / Marketing / Energy Management).5 plus years of B2B sales experience, ideally in power, solar energy, renewable energy, utilities, or large-ticket infrastructure sales.Strong understanding of PPAs, energy tariffs, and regulatory frameworks in the power sector.Proven track record in closing enterprise-scale contracts (₹25 Cr+ preferred).Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to structure and present impactful business cases with financial modeling knowledge (IRR, NPV, ROI).Strong networking ability across industries / real estate / retail / tech parks.Self-driven with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a dynamic growth-stage company.Compensation
