Overview :
Management of respective showrooms in their area so as to ensure Commercial performance; sales targets; increased market share; maximizing profitability, increase customer satisfaction and continued business growth.
Main Roles and Responsibility :
Sales Management
- To maximize sales and profitability of business in line with Company Targets for the area.
- Optimize sales potential through effective use of available commercial information for the area
- Focuses on Driving ATV, UPT, AND Conversions Using Reports
- Monitor sales and control costs within budgetary guidelines for the area
- Promote awareness of local trading patterns, the trading environment and competitor activity for the area
- Identify internal and external commercial opportunities for the area
- Maximize productivity in stores through effective deployment of resources for the area
- Ensure stores are organized and prepared for peak trading periods such as Festivals & Sale, for the area
- Adhere and enforce Company SOP, Policies and procedures; loss prevention audit guidelines in all the assigned stores. Also create measures to ensure compliance by all the employees.
- Recruit and train the staff on sales techniques, customer service, teamwork, and other etiquettes as per the company and brand requirements.
Merchandise Management
Ensure Season In season sell thrus, in line with the company targets for the areaMonitor Inventory Management systems & give clear direction to the store Inventory Control department, in line with the Concept guidelines, along with the Ops manager.Ensure timely feedback and analysis on the performance & the quality of the merchandise for the areaEnsure Visual merchandising maximizes sales, and that company standards and corporate look are maintained for the areaMonitor VM systems & give clear direction to the store VMs, in line with the Concept guidelines, along with the Ops manager.Monitor the inventory movement.Customer Management
Execute customer service measures, which result in customer delight.Ensure that all stores adopt best Customer Service and selling practices.Follow up on Customer Service reports
Reporting and Analysis
Knows to Prepare Day , weekly , Monthly Reports and Strategize sales plan based on the store PerformancePrepare regular sales reports, performance metrics, and market insights for management review.Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.Competition Management :
To acquire market intelligence through various sources & analyze trends which may impact our business.Map competition prices / products and provide qualitative inputs to the business.Staff Management
Train & Assess the staff for the Area using the best training / assessment proceduresEnsure employee turnover is at acceptable standards in line with the Brand guidelines.Ensure the morale of the team is high always and think of innovative measures to have a work culture of result orientation as well as fun.Provide coaching / counseling as required & implement disciplinary procedures where requiredEnsure that all stores implement Personnel policies and procedures & any new initiatives implemented across the company.Conduct Store Manager Appraisals & ensure that Store Managers conduct appraisals.Evaluate the performance of the employees annually and promote open lines of communication through coaching and motivation.Projects & Admin / Operational standards Management
Co-ordinate new store openings and re-fits.Follow up on maintenance requirements where appropriate.Monitor store administration systems to maximize operational efficiency.Implement and maintain Operational Standards, through established best practices, leading to standardization of systemsMonitor audit systems & give clear direction to the Retail audit department, in line with the Brand guidelines, along with the Ops Manager.Ensure adherence to all company procedures.Ensure that all Shop Managers are aware of their legal responsibility to Health and Safety, and highlight potential areas of risk to the Company
General Responsibilities :
Communicate relevant information in a positive and constructive manner regarding all areas of the business.Maintain regular contact with stores through a number of methods : Store visits weekly, attend store managers meetings, Store visit reports, monitor store objectivesGive feedback to relevant areas both internal and external to instigate and drive discussion on issues pertinent to the stores.To be a role model for the ethos, values and policies of the Company :Reflect and promote professionalism in all aspects of the businessEnsure promotions are implemented according to guidelines and that local / seasonal promotional opportunities are identified and maximizedHas to be the eyes and ears of the Inventory Controller in the shopPrepare qualitative season end reports which will add value to the business, in the shopUnderstand & implement all the reports sent by the Inventory ControllerSkills Required
