Deputy Director - Student Life (Only 24h Left)

About the role : The Deputy Director – Student Life will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive campus experience for students. The role requires an individual who can provide strong leadership, establish systems and processes, and foster meaningful collaborations across the University to ensure student life is vibrant, holistic, and future-ready.

The Deputy Director will work closely with students, faculty, and administrative teams to create an environment that supports not only academic excellence but also co-curricular growth, and overall well-being of students.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a team to deliver on University’s vision for student engagement and development
• Oversee the daily functioning of the Directorate of Student Life, ensuring smooth coordination, accountability, and resource optimization
• Establish clear SOPs, processes, and systems for planning, implementing, and evaluating student life initiatives
• Develop and oversee a diverse calendar of activities, including both Directorate-led programs and student-run events
• Align all Student Life initiatives with inclusivity, innovation and sustainability
• Serve as a mentor and guide to student bodies, clubs, and special interest groups, encouraging self-governance, accountability, and leadership development
• Build strong working relationships with faculty, staff, external partners, and alumni to co-create opportunities that enrich student experiences
• Help design initiatives that support students’ mental health, physical well- being, and personal growth
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within student life initiatives, ensuring all students feel represented and supported
• Manage the implementation of student orientation initiatives within the campus with the aim to familiarize new students with the campus and enable students, faculty and staff to meet
• Coordinate special events at the campus level including celebrations for days of national importance, special ceremonies, etc.
• Manage the implementation of student counseling and mental wellness initiatives to help students in their overall health and experience
• Facilitate necessary support for students with major counseling issues as and when needed
• Oversee the effective and efficient collaboration between Student Life and Academics & Central Services to provide data in a timely and accurate manner for reporting purposes.
