Role Purpose
The Occupational Therapist (OT) at Bodhi Mind Care Hospital, GV Residencies, will play a key role in supporting individuals with psychiatric, psychological, and neurological conditions to regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance quality of life. The OT will integrate rehabilitation principles with Bodhi's holistic mind care model, combining medical, psychological, and wellness approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Planning
- Conduct detailed functional assessments of patients with mental health, neurodevelopmental, or cognitive difficulties.
- Develop individualized therapy and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical staff.
Therapeutic Interventions
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy sessions focused on daily living skills, vocational skills, and community reintegration.Design and implement structured group therapy sessions (e.g., life skills training, sensory integration, stress management).Incorporate creative therapies (art, music, movement, play) where appropriate to complement recovery.Rehabilitation & Wellness
Support patients in vocational training, workplace readiness, and social skill development.Guide patients in using adaptive devices and modifications to improve independence.Work with Bodhi's Ayurvedic and wellness teams to create holistic care plans.Collaboration & Multidisciplinary WorkWork closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers as part of the Bodhi Mind Care team.Participate in family meetings to provide psychoeducation and guidance on patient progress and home support strategies.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in line with hospital protocols.Contribute to outcome monitoring and service evaluation.Community Engagement
Support Bodhi's outreach and rehabilitation programs (e.g., community-based rehabilitation, day center activities).Contribute to Bodhi events such as awareness workshops, wellness camps, and the Poetry Café initiative.Qualifications & Skills
Essential :Bachelor's / Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT / MOT) from a recognized institution.Registration with relevant professional body.Experience :1–3 years of experience in mental health, rehabilitation, or neuropsychiatric settings preferred.Skills :Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work empathetically with patients and families.Creativity in therapy delivery and adaptability in diverse settings.Team player with a collaborative approach.Work Environment at GV Residencies
