Role Brief :

We are seeking a proactive, organized, and highly trustworthy person with an entrepreneurial bent of mind who will serve as an Executive Assistant to the Co-Founder at Verona Matchmaking, and provide organizational support to various projects. This is a dynamic role that blends strategic, administrative, and personal responsibilities. You will be helping the founder drive key initiatives, manage daily operations, and streamline both business and personal commitments. Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintaining appointment schedules by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel
  • Managing personal tasks of the Co-founder / Managing Director including appointments, bookings etc.
  • Answering and directing calls to appropriate executives and parties, taking messages
  • Welcoming guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries for calls.
  • Build learning about Verona and present the organisation to stakeholders as needed
  • Attend and take minutes during strategic meetings; follow up on action items. Preparing reports, collecting and analyzing information; preparing presentations.
  • Help manage OKRs, KPIs, and ensure key deadlines are met across departments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for new initiatives (e.g., product launches, marketing campaigns).
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support key business decisions.
  • Join strategic calls or meetings to capture key decisions, action items, and drive accountability.
  • Support early-stage or sensitive projects with absolute discretion — e.g., partnerships, M&A discussions, or pivots.
  • Compile briefs, executive summaries, and insights for investor meetings, strategic partnerships, or new verticals.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the founder's office — tracking priorities, streamlining communication, and reducing operational friction.
  • Maintaining inventory and office supplies. Anticipating office needs; evaluating new office products; placing and often expediting orders when necessary
  • Any other tasks as may be communicated from time to time

Required Skills

  • Fluency in spoken English
  • Efficient data entry, analytical skills and fast typing speed
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to compose emails and other correspondence that are clean and devoid of typos
  • Stellar organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Ability to coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Experience and Qualifications :

  • Ideally the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from a reputable institute
  • Overall experience of 2-4 years in managing a founder's office or similar role
  • Previous experience in a start-up based environment is highly preferred
