Job Title : HVAC Design Engineer

Experience : 5-8 Years

Job Summary :

The role involves performing load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping design, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
• Perform heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
• Select and size HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.) based on project requirements.
• Design ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
• Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
• Perform energy efficiency analysis and optimize HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
• Assist in tendering, cost estimation, and bid evaluations for HVAC systems.
• Support project execution by providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning.
