Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled
ServiceNow Developer
with hands-on experience in
IT Business Management (ITBM)
and
IT Operations Management (ITOM)
modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow applications to support enterprise IT processes and business goals.
This role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow platform development, integration, and module customization, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions within
ITBM
(Project Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Resource Management, Agile, Financial Planning) and
ITOM
(Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Orchestration).
Customize and enhance ServiceNow applications using
JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer .
Build and manage
CMDB
structures, ensuring accurate data integrity and relationships between configuration items (CIs).
Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using
REST / SOAP APIs ,
MID Server , and
IntegrationHub .
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality configurations and workflows.
Support and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, Orchestration, and Event Management processes.
Develop and maintain
dashboards, reports, and analytics
within ITBM and ITOM.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards, coding best practices, and governance models.
Participate in upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5–7 years of overall IT experience, with at least
4+ years of ServiceNow development
experience.
Proven experience working on
ITBM
(Demand, Project Portfolio, Agile, Resource, Financial Management) and
ITOM
(Discovery, Orchestration, Service Mapping, Event Management).
Strong proficiency in
JavaScript, Glide Script, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS .
Hands-on experience with
ServiceNow CMDB , Discovery probes, sensors, and Service Mapping.
Knowledge of
ITIL framework
and its implementation through ServiceNow.
Experience with
Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Service Portal customization .
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Certifications
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
– mandatory.
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITBM or ITOM)
– preferred.
ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation Certification
– preferred.
