Database Engineer

Expereince : 2 - 4 YearsLocation : HyderabadEssential Skills : Basic Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL Databases : Understanding of Oracle and PostgreSQL database architecture, structures, and operations (tablespaces, schemas, data types, etc.).SQL Proficiency : Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries for troubleshooting and administrative tasks.Basic Backup & Recovery Knowledge : Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for both Oracle (RMAN) and PostgreSQL (pg_dump, pg_basebackup).Performance Monitoring & Tuning : Basic experience in monitoring and improving database performance.Operating System Knowledge : Familiarity with Linux / Unix or Windows operating systems where Oracle and PostgreSQL are deployed.Attention to Detail : Ability to work with accuracy and follow standard operating procedures.Preferred Skills : Experience with Database Tools : Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), pgAdmin, or other database management and monitoring tools.Scripting Knowledge : Basic knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automating database tasks.Database Security Practices : Understanding of basic security principles such as user authentication, roles, and permissions.Version Control & Change Management : Experience in working with version-controlled environments and knowledge of change management processes.
