DGM / AGM - Coal Procurement & Logistics

To operate and maintain Thermal Power Plant network at multiple locations by driving procurement of Coal Logistics & ancillary services with high reliability & efficiency by achieving optimum cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Drive strategic procurement of coal logistics services and other ancillary services with high reliability & efficiency by achieving optimum cost optimization.
• Ensure timely availability of coal by streamlining Coal Logistics procurement activities in line with planned generation. Complete 100% order placement within agreed timelines.
• Ensure ESG and Risk related processes are identified & embedded in the organization.
• Identify mitigation measures against strategic, operational and other risks including Business Continuity Processes.
• Continuous market study and identification of opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, better risk mitigation etc.
• Identification, onboarding & development of new service providers for coal logistics and ancillary services.
• Long term strategy formulation & deployment.
• Monitoring of Domestic Coal sourcing program, coal landed cost at various Thermal Power Plants through different modes of transport etc. on a routine basis to ensure compliance with the Budget.
• Analyzing vendor performance and initiating corrective actions in vendor selection process as necessary.
• Support Fuel Management team in preparation of coal sourcing plan on need basis.
• Innovation for improving systems & processes reliability.
• Compliance of Group level SOPs, guidelines and governance compliances.
• Policies & Procedures improvement & implementation.
