Junior Cad Design

Job Overview : Looking for a candidate a junior Spoolgen engineer is a entry-level professional who uses specialized software to create, manage, and verify detailed fabrication and erection isometric drawings for piping systems. These roles are often found in the oil and gas, power generation, and chemical manufacturing industries. Roles & Responsibilities : Prepare isometrics weldmaps from PCF files following Client spooling criterias. Prepare material lists and joints weldmaps lists in electronic format (excel). Assist in splitting piping isometrics into spools using Spoolgen based on fabrication and site erection needs. Support senior engineers in generating accurate spool drawings, weld maps, and spool bills of materials (BOM). Help ensure that spool drawings are aligned with approved design isometrics and project specifications. Knowledge of autocad software and smart plant isometrics ,sketch Learn the basics of Piping Supports and types Coordinate with the piping design team to understand the drawing intent and fabrication requirements. Ensure all spool drawings comply with project standards, welding codes (e.G., ASME Section IX), and fabrication Preparation of as build drawings as per fabrication or site comments & implementing the same in latest revision of isometrics. Help in preparing spool-related documentation such as weld logs, MTOs (Material Take-Offs), and fabrication schedules. Checking Fit-up & alignment & preassembly of piping as per spool drawings. Technical Skills : Professionals with Diploma / Engineer degree in Spoolgen Weld mapper with Minimum 2 Years to 5 years experience. Knowledge of project default configurations and settings (e.G., using I-configure). Proficiency in SmartPlant Spoolgen and Isogen. Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Strong attention to detail for checking and verifying drawing specification Advanced Excel level is recommended (VBA programming to create macros) Position can be based at both Chennai or Bangalore.
